About the Scheme

Admissions for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/ Overseas Citizen of India(OCI) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD),Government of India for Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes in Engineering/Architecture/ Planning for the Academic year 2015-16 to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), and other premier Technical Institutions in India.

Admissions under DASA Scheme 2015-16

The NITs are declared as Institutes of National Importance by an Act of Parliament. All NITs are Autonomous Institutions and a degree from any of these NITs is among the most competitive of its kind when pursuing an international career in Architecture, Engineering or Technology. The alumni of these Institutions have excelled themselves in various fields of science, technology and management in various parts of the world. The admission under DASA scheme of the MHRD started from the academic session 2001-02 onwards. The MHRD has entrusted the coordination of the admission process under DASA scheme for the academic year 2015-16 to MNIT- Jaipur (vide Office Order of the MHRD: No.F.33-1/2014-TS.III dated October 20, 2014).Those seeking admission under DASA scheme have to apply online, fill an online application form and make fee payment through SWIFT transfer / E-payment on or before 23:59 (IST), 1st June, 2015. Applicants should also arrange to send SAT Subject Test scores directly from College Board, USA, to Malaviya National Institute of Technology- Jaipur (Institute Code: 7664) so as to reach DASA Office, MNIT -Jaipur on or before 23:59 HRS (IST) 1st June, 2015.
